We’re excited to tell you that our home state of Colorado has two great incentive programs for replacing old diesel or gasoline vans, trucks and buses with new zero-emission vehicles, such as the ones you can get from Lightning Systems. Available for GVWR classes 4-8, these grants can provide up to 110% of the cost of the electric drivetrain upfit, and are available for government, private and non-profit fleets.
Alt Fuels Colorado, administered by the Regional Air Quality Council, is focused on cargo vehicles, and has thee short application windows in each year. The next one is coming right up, so hurry!
Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) has a very similar program targeted at shuttles and buses. Applications are accepted annually, during a six-week window in the fall. Again – don’t delay: apply today!
